Vascular clinic

In our vascular clinic, we specialize in comprehensive diagnostics and modern treatment of vascular diseases, both venous and arterial. We provide professional examinations, including detailed ultrasound mapping of the vascular system, which allows us to accurately assess the condition of veins and arteries and propose individually targeted therapy. We focus mainly on diseases of the arteries of the lower extremities, abdominal aortic aneurysms, narrowing of the carotid arteries and, above all, on venous problems, which include varicose veins and their complications. We offer patients a wide range of treatment methods - from classic surgical procedures to the most modern mini-invasive procedures, such as laser varicose vein surgery, the ClariVein method or sclerotherapy. We always choose a gentle solution with an emphasis on safety, effectiveness and quick recovery.

Diagnosis of vascular diseases

The basis of successful treatment is accurate and targeted diagnostics. We use modern ultrasound devices to provide detailed images of the venous and arterial systems. Using duplex sonography, we can examine the patency of the arteries, the condition of the venous valves, the presence of varicose veins and connections between deep and superficial veins. The examination is non-invasive, painless and immediately provides key information for determining the next course of action. Based on the results, we propose individual treatment that corresponds to the patient's current condition and needs.

Varicose vein surgery

Classic varicose vein surgery

In traditional surgical treatment of varicose veins, the damaged veins are mechanically removed. The procedure takes 60–90 minutes and is performed under general anesthesia as a day care. The patient is admitted and discharged within 24 hours. After the procedure, it is necessary to wear compression stockings for 6 weeks, including at night for the first two weeks. Walking is usually possible the second day, and greater physical exertion after 3–4 weeks. Total recovery takes approximately a month and a half. Although it is an effective method, it is associated with a longer healing time and greater intervention in the tissues than modern minimally invasive procedures.

Laser varicose vein surgery

This minimally invasive method involves closing the damaged vein using a laser fiber that is inserted directly into the vein. The high temperature acts on the vascular wall from the inside and turns the vein into a fibrous band. The procedure is performed under general or local anesthesia and lasts approximately 45–60 minutes. The advantages are minimal pain, rapid recovery, and short incapacity for work. Compression stockings are only required for 2 weeks. Most patients can return to their normal routine after 3–5 days, depending on the nature of the work and the extent of the procedure.

ClariVein – a non-thermal, painless method

Modern solution for varicose veins without anesthesia and without restrictions

The ClariVein method combines mechanical and chemical action on the inner wall of the vein. Without the need for anesthesia or thermal energy, the vein is gently closed. The procedure takes about 30 minutes, the patient goes home without significant limitations. It is also suitable for patients with lymphedema or leg ulcers.

ClariVein Benefits:

  • without the need for anesthesia
  • without restrictions after performance
  • suitable for sensitive skin and after inflammation
  • full load possible almost immediately
  • wearing compression stockings for two weeks, the first week of which is permanent

Sclerotization

Quick solution for spider veins and small varicose veins

Sclerotherapy is an outpatient procedure in which a sclerosing solution or foam is applied to small veins. This causes the damaged veins to close. The procedure does not require anesthesia and takes about 30 minutes. After the procedure, the patient wears compression stockings for 2–3 weeks, otherwise there are no restrictions.

What you can expect:

  • minimal pain
  • only temporary bruising or pigmentation
  • full activity without the need for sick leave
